I work with Spanish as a language that is learned through use, context, and time. My classes focus on real spoken Spanish and everyday situations, mainly in Latin American contexts, with particular attention to Chilean Spanish as it is actually spoken.
The work is based on gradual immersion. Classes are conducted mostly in Spanish from the beginning, but always starting from what each student already knows and building from there. English is used only as occasional support when something truly needs clarification. The focus stays on listening, understanding, and communicating in Spanish without relying on constant translation.
I treat language as something that lives inside real situations and real interests. Because of that, classes naturally move through topics like daily life, travel, science (I also teach chemistry), films, music, or literature. These are not random themes or conversation fillers, but spaces where Spanish feels real, familiar, and usable.
My background is in teaching, and my approach is shaped by an interest in how language reflects culture, habits, and ways of seeing the world. The aim of the classes is not speed or performance, but steady progress — getting more comfortable with Spanish as it is spoken, heard, and lived over time.
