Santiago Pineda

I am an independent, goal-driven, responsible, and consistent person. These qualities are the ones that have helped me get to where I currently am. Being surrounded by nature and speak different languages are the things I love and enjoy the most. I have had several kinds of experiences throughout my life. I started a company and learned valuable things such as consistency and discipline. I have had formal education as a chemist in Colombia and as a biologist in the United States. Additionally, I have studied a diploma in applied statistics and I am currently a master's degree student in molecular biology. I speak Spanish as a native language, English fluently, and I am able to maintain a conversation in German. I have worked in retail stores as a sales associate as well as part of the management team. I have traveled the world a lot from South to North America all the way to Europe, which gives me the ability to approach daily situations from different angles and it also helps me understand different points of view due to the global nature of traveling. I have been working in the fiel of education as a biology teacher following IB and AP curriculums in bilingual high schools in Colombia. My goal is to to be a professor at a university as well as working in research. I am looking to gain laboratory experience in order to qualify for a PhD in the near future. Let’s see where life takes me.
